    - It is a great honor to me to receive an honorary doctorate from the prestigious, well-known throughout the world university. I intend to continue cooperation with Łódź - said Junko Koshino.

The gala dinner at the prestigious Grand Hyatt Tokyo was organized to promote Polish-Japanese relations in Japan. Among hundreds of invited guests were many celebrities from the world of politics, art and business, led by Mrs. Akie Abe, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan. Mrs. Abe in her opening speech stressed the excellent relations between Japan and Poland and shared her impressions from visits to Poland. During the gala, a promotional spot about Poland was presented. The guests were entertained by a photo exhibition and a documentary movie about Junko Koshino’s cooperation with the Polish fashion industry as well as with the City Hall and the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. The main part of the ceremony was a recollection of Junko Koshino’s honorary doctorate which was awarded to her by the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
