After years of negotiations Japanese market is going to be finally open for polish beef.

From August 1st Japan will lift the ban on Polish beef export to the Japanese market. Negotiations about the ban lifting began in 2006. Poland becomes the fourth EU country, after France, the Netherlands and Ireland, whose meat and beef products can be exported to Japan. Embargo on export of beef from the EU was introduced by Japan in 2001 after occurrence of BSE in European countries.
