    Rafał Dutkiewicz, the Mayor of Wrocław and Krzysztof Maj, the President of the Wrocław ECC 2016 encouraged Polish-Japanese cultural cooperation within the framework of the EU-Japan Fest program.

    The general meeting of the EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee took place on February 25th at the Polish Embassy in Tokyo and was attended by presidents of major Japanese companies, ambassadors of countries whose cities previously held prestigious title of European Capital of Culture and representatives of Wrocław and San Sebastian, cities designated European Capital of Culture this year.


    During the meeting, Rafał Dutkiewicz, the Mayor of  Wrocław and Krzysztof Maj, the President of the ECC 2016 presented possible ways of cooperation between ECC 2016 and Japan.


    The splendid performance of baritone Tomasz Strojny and pianist Miho Kurihary who is an expert at the Polish Institute in Tokyo proved to be the highlight of the ceremony.


    Since 1992, program EU-Japan Fest has endeavored to strengthen cultural cooperation between Japan and the European Capital of Culture.
