On November 13-15, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo co-organized the "Polish Week" at the University of Kanagawa in Yokohama.

The event was aimed at the promotion of studies in Poland and the strengthening of scientific cooperation with Polish academic centers, whose representatives (Poznan University of Economics, Wroclaw University of Economics and Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin) took part in the lectures and meetings with students, organized during the "Polish Week".

At the opening ceremony of the symposium entitled “Poland and  EU” which was held on the second day of the event, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Japan, Jacek Izydorczyk, gave a brief lecture presenting the main academic centers in Poland, the rich achievements of Polish science and drew attention to the advantages of studying in Poland. The symposium has gathered more than two hundred participants, whose number proves the big interest of Japanese students to study in Poland.
